Tennessee freshman defensive back Bryce Thompson has looked good through two games with the Vols, but he truly broke out on Saturday against East Tennessee State.

This is certainly an encouraging development for a set of defensive backs that was much maligned after a weak showing against West Virginia in week one. There’s no doubt that the improved play will need to continue in the coming games for the Vols to succeed.
