Tennessee’s defensive back corps took a hit during the bye week.
According to head coach Jeremy Pruitt, freshman defensive back Trevon Flowers dove for a ball in practice and broke his collarbone.
Pruitt spoke about Flowers’ injury during a press conference on Monday. Pruitt was complimentary of Flowers’ effort so far in the season and stated that Flowers would be out for the next few weeks but didn’t give a specific timetable for his return from the injury.
Flowers has accumulated nine tackles so far in the 2018 season. He had his best game in the season opener against West Virginia when he tallied five tackles.
